Organized by the J’pura Rover Crew of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, TrailX 2026 unites scouts, rover scouts, guides, and young adventurers from across the island for an unforgettable outdoor adventure.

TrailX 2026 is not just a hiking event — it is an immersive exploration experience built around resilience, strategy, teamwork, and leadership. Set within the challenging landscapes of the Madakada – Alwalwathurana Forest Reserve, participants will navigate demanding terrain, complete tactical challenges, and work together under pressure while experiencing the values and discipline of adventurer at its finest.
About TrailX
TrailX 2026 is proudly organized by the J’pura Rover Crew of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura under the Career Guidance Unit (CGU). As the first-ever All Island Exploration Competition organized by the crew, TrailX was created to connect school scouting, rover scouting, and undergraduates while promoting leadership, endurance, environmental responsibility, and outdoor adventure culture among young people in Sri Lanka.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES
TrailX 2026 hosts two distinct categories to accommodate school-level adventurers and university rover crews.
Open for officially registered Senior Boy Scout Troops, Girl Scout Troops, Girl Guide Companies, Scout or Guide units representing government, semi-government, and private schools, as well as recognized Open Scout or Guide Crews.
Open for Rover Scout Crews representing universities or open crews, together with officially recognized clubs or societies representing Sri Lankan state universities and specialized government universities.
Event Timeline
From sunrise assembly to the grand awarding ceremony, every hour is packed with action.

Check-in, kit verification, and trail briefing at basecamp.
06:00 AM
The official start of the All Island Exploration Competition.
05:30 PM
Teams close the final checkpoint and head to the awarding venue.
07:00 PM
Celebration, awards, and closing remarks at USJ premises.
PARTICIPATION OVERVIEW
Over 800 participants and 100 teams expected to battle it out across the Madakada – Alwalwathurana Forest Reserve.
